Are you prepared to maintain compliance and mitigate risk?

If you are a Hospital, CAH, Ambulatory Surgery Center, or Long-Term Care facility…our team of former AO surveyors, public safety officers, Life Safety Code specialists, and emergency first responders know how to train and coach your staff to prepare for that next survey and also respond to all manner of emergency events.

If you are in healthcare at any level, we can help!

  • Mock Surveys

    Emergency Management

We call them Mock Surveys…but what we do is identify gaps within your organization’s Emergency Management Program and offer comprehensive solutions. We look at your organization’s policies, procedures, and training events to assist your organization in meeting the standards of your accreditor. Our evaluations can also help in obtaining funding to address vulnerabilities. Our goal is a safe and healthy healing environment.

    Life Safety/Physical Environment Mock Survey

Spend a day or two with our experts as part of an ongoing compliance maintenance program or to prepare for your next survey. We review Life Safety compliance by floor plan and by tour; equipment maintenance program and records; staff interview (as available); and by policy and procedure. We can provide our typical program or customize the focus.

  • Emergency Operations Plans (EOP)

    All-Hazards EOP

We work directly with your administration and local public safety officials to create a custom Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) for your Healthcare facility that is specific to your culture and unique environment, while meeting your accreditation organizations standards. Our plan considers all local, State, and federal requirements and guidelines to ensure everyone speaks the same language and understands their roles and responsibilities during an emergency. We also offer a table-top training at the completion of your custom plan providing an opportunity for administrators and staff to familiarize themselves with their roles and responsibilities during an actual emergency event.

    Emergency Response Guides

Our custom employee emergency response guides are designed specifically for frontline staff. Our guides provide employees a solid foundation to address emergency situations within their respective environment. These response Guides (also known as “flip charts”) provide your employees with the necessary steps to assure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.

  • Workplace Violence C.A.R.E. (Collaborate, Assess, Respond, Emerge)

Our staff members developed this proprietary training based on national standards and industry best practices in 2017. Our staff members saw an overwhelming need to share our firsthand knowledge of how to keep people safe; not only in their workplace (OSHA requirement), but in their everyday lives in this challenging world.

We know firsthand that watching a video presentation on Workplace Violence/Active shooter falls EXTREMELY short of preparing individuals for an actual violent encounter. Our passion led us to the development of this reality-based training which allows us to put individuals in simulated real- life situations to experience what your body goes through under duress. We teach you how to overcome your physical emotions and stress factors and provide you with proven tactics to survive a violent encounter in your everyday lives, in and out of work. Participants walk away with a renewed sense of confidence and articulable actions to share with their co-workers and loved ones at home.

Our instructors have a deep knowledge base and skill set with real life experiences that support our C.A.R.E. tagline “People don’t rise to the occasion; they sink to the level of their training”. Reality- based scenario training programs like ours, drive this point home, as we allow our participants to put into action what they learn throughout the training.

  • Armed Assailant Training

We know firsthand that watching a video presentation on active shooter falls extremely short of preparing individuals for an actual violent encounter. Our staff of current law enforcement officers, public safety administrators, firefighters, Nurses, healthcare Administrators, and Ems professionals developed our proprietary reality-based scenario Armed Assailant training in response to the unique cultures, characteristics, and demographics of our Healthcare customers. By reducing risk, we reduce anxiety. This training is your employee answer on how to survive an armed assailant encounter until Law enforcement arrives to assist. We understand that not all nationally recognized Armed Assailant programs work in individual settings, so we utilize components of each of these programs to customize a program that works for your specific organization. Armed Assailant events are dynamic and ever changing so we designed our training to fill your Staff’s “toolbox” with solutions to situations that may present themselves in their healthcare setting. We will work alongside your local law enforcement partners to assure your staff understands what to expect from law enforcement at your facility during a catastrophic event.
